Associate Program Overview
The Associate Program can be used in either a self-study or instructor-led environment. Individuals can use the self-study option to quickly become Certified Associates independent of a training environment. Alternatively, a turnkey Instructor’s ToolKit allows this program to be easily integrated into a new or existing training program or curriculum.
Used as a quick and easy way to test the skills of potential new hires or existing staff, this program gives an objective way to evaluate employees.
Created to reward individuals who successfully complete the certification examination with meaningful credentials, the Associate Program is endorsed by both the International Sommelier Guild (ISG) and the American Culinary Federation (ACF), which recognized this program with the Educational Assurance Award.
Because customers have come to expect service staff to possess a basic understanding of wine and wine service essentials, the Associate Program includes basic training on topics such as the different grapes used in making wine, the essence of wine terminology, the basics of service techniques and several rules of thumb to use during food and wine pairings.
Whether you are designing a new curriculum or revitalizing existing training, this structured, yet flexible, program is easily integrated into an academic establishment or corporate process.
